Vinous Antonio Galloni - 01 Feb 22
The 2018 Barolo Cannubi offers up sweet dried cherry, incense, tobacco, blood orange, rosewater, cinnamon and crushed savory herbs. There is a feeling of transparency in the 2018 that is absolutely beguiling. I would give the tannins a few years to soften. This is very nicely done. The purity of the flavors is striking.

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
